This collection of images from David Stoecklein demonstrates his love of the land and its people, and offers a glimpse into the reasons behind his lifelong quest and passion for preserving the West with his camera. Stoecklein has traveled in all the Western states, visiting ranches and documenting the incredible scenery of the region. Sprinkled among the images are stories about his travels and experiences as well as behind-the-scenes tips about some of his favorite photos. This book is a tribute to the hard-working people and animals that have provided Stoecklein with so much inspiration over the years.
Since the release of Canon’s 5D Mark II and the 7D, I have been working tirelessly to learn how to shoot and edit my own video clips. These great Canon DSLR cameras are built with new technology that allows me to shoot full resolution HD video. This is becoming more and more important for still photographers to learn how to do as our medium changes and viewers want to see more than just still images from my photo shoots. This week I am one of the featured photographers on outdoorphotographer.com along with a few of my other esteemed colleagues.
